Boys Lacrosse

Telluride's Boys Spring Lacrosse Program is open to boys in grades K-8. Our Skills and Drills program is for grades K-2 looking to learn the basics of the game with 2 practices a week (starting after spring break) and no tournament travel. Boys grades 3-8 will have 2-3 practices a week and have the opportunity to travel to Grand Junction, Vail and Aspen for tournaments. Some teams will have opportunities for additional tournaments.

In the event a team does not have enough kids to field a team for a tournament, we may combine with another Telluride team or with a group of boys from other clubs.

Season: March 11 - May 14

(Note: these times may change depending on reg numbers and coach availability)

Lacrosse helmet (matte-black recommended as its required for HS Lax), shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, mouth-guard, cleats, and lacrosse stick. Protective cup is highly recommended. Hockey equipment works for beginner players, however hockey glove are challenging to handle the stick with the stiff thumbs.

Lacrosse Unlimited in Denver or online can be very helpful to find the right size for your kids.

Starter Sets are a great way for younger kids to get into the game.

Uniforms: If your athlete needs a uniform you must order ASAP. Please do not delay as we will not able to fulfill order requests as we get closer to the season. Skllls & Drills kids do not need uniforms.

Old Uniforms and Sticks: If you have any sticks or uniforms you’d like to donate back to the club, please bring them to the first practice.
